Urban Seed

The „Urban Seed“ as a marked public space offers itself as an experimental setting to collectives and singular performers in the field of contemporary dance and performance. Workshops can be offered departing from individual approaches towards artistic proposals for public spaces of ones own city intending to shape the outcome into performative settings. Daniel Aschwanden (movement) Matthias Hurtl (sound) and Conny Zenk (projections) will be moderating and coaching artistic approaches and support translations into the compressed space of the „Seed“ as well as the choreography of the seed throughout the urban space, the „Urban seed“ becoming a tool for interdisciplinary urban movement research.

Das Urban Seed, eine pneumatische Architektur als ortsspezifische Intervention auf der Baustelle wird zum Kristallisationspunkt transdisziplinärer Ansätze: eine Choreografie von Sound, Projektionen, performativem Körper und Tanz setzt die unterschiedlichen Medien ins Verhältnis. Es entsteht eine Akkumulation hybrider Formate innerhalb einer durchlässigen Partitur.

Der Körper nimmt Ansätze digitaler Praktiken wie Sampling auf, tanzt nervöse Vibrationen, produziert minimale Pattern als Bewegungsrauschen, dialogisiert aber auch raumgreifend mit der Architektur, den Lichtstrukturen der Projektion und den Feldern des elektronischen Sounds, agiert als autonomer Zeichenproduzent, eingebettet in die konzertante Wirkung der komplexen medialen Verdichtung.
